Liam Rosenior's first starting line-up as Chelsea head coach comprises of 8 changes as the Blues kick off their FA cup campaign at Charlton Athletic  Liam Rosenior was only appointed head coach on Tuesday however, did not officially take charge of  the team until Thursday, the day after Chelsea's defeat to Fulham. There is a start in goal for Filip Jorgensen with a back four comprised of Josh Acheampong, Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and Jorrel Hato. The Blues are captained by Moises Caicedo who is partnered in midfield by Andrey Santos, with starts for Alejandro Garnacho, Facundo Buoananotte and Jamie Gittens with Marc Guiu  set to lead the line.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca has confirmed that he does not expect Jorrell Hato to be fit to face Bournemouth tomorrow however, expects Wesley Fofana to be in contention to feature after being an unused substitute in the defeat at home to Aston Villa last weekend.  Chelsea return to action at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening and look to but the defeat over the weekend against Aston Villa behind them and return to winning ways as they host Bournemouth hoping to end 2025 with a win. If you can't win then don't lose says Blues shot-stopper  Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez recognised that Chelsea were not at their best at the Vitality stadium against Bournemouth however, Sanchez was able to take some satisfaction from keeping, with Alejandro Garnacho striking the post a clean sheet that he contributed heavily towards.  My first goal is only the start says Blues right back Malo Gusto  After reaching 98 appearances in a Blue shirt, it's fair to say that Malo Gusto was certainly most pleased to see his long awaited goal drought for his first Chelsea goal come to an end. There was a surprise amongst the media to see the Blues training a day before their champions league clash at Qarabag, with a five hour flight awaiting the Chelsea players, however, Blues boss Enzo Maresca explains the logic behind the pre-game plan as the Blues look to secure 3 points in Azerbaijan.
