Blues head coach Liam Rosenior on wanting performances to send the fans home happy

Blues Head Coach Liam Rosenior says that he and his players are focused purely on giving the fantastic Chelsea supporters the success that they want and deserve, while fostering a bond with the Blues supporters which will make Stamford Bridge a fortress again.

The 41 year old newly appointed head coach takes charge of his first game today with the Blues making a short round trip across London to face Charlton in the third round of the FA cup

Rosenior is looking to stamp his mark and make an impression with the supporters with  his sides style of football and is determined to give the fans a team and a performance they can be proud of.

When asked about this Rosenior said " My main focus is on the performance of this team, I think that if your a supporter and you see a performance from your team then even though you may not win but if the fans see players running and showing some fight and giving everything for the shirt then you will go home happy. This is what I want for our supporters and that's what I expect to see from the team.

" My job is to make the team the best I can possibly make it within a short space of time. I need to make sure that I focus on and pay greater attention to detail when it comes to planning the training sessions, the  meetings and giving the best feedback I can possibly give to the players along with providing the best one to one meetings that my staff have with the players."

The supporters at this club are fantastic and want what's best for the club which is to win trophies. My job is to ensure that this is what is delivered and this is what my focus is on.

Furthermore, Rosenior hopes that the performances given by the players will get the Chelsea supporters of their feet and will bring a fantastic atmosphere and will build a strong bond both at Stamford Bridge and on the road, which will hopefully motivate  the players even more.

Rosenior went onto add " The fans are important for the atmosphere in the stadium whether this is home or away. They make a massive difference to the atmosphere in the stadium. "

" I want my team to be a brave, fearless team always on the front foot who aren't afraid to make mistakes." When the whole of Stamford Bridge is behind you and I have been there as a player there is an atmosphere like no other which makes it difficult for the opposition to play there."

"The support of our fans away from home is incredible , I really want to establish and build a strong connection with them."

Though Rosenior must wait a little longer in the dugout for his first taste of the Stamford Bridge atmosphere from the home dugout, the job of making Chelsea's away fans proud begins in a matter of hours, as he leads the Blues to The Valley in this evenings 3rd round FA cup tie.
