Thomas Tuchel saw a run of five wins in a row come to an end as Chelsea drew 1-1 in today's lunchtime kick-off against Southampton, however the subject of much of Thomas Tuchel's analysis after the game was the sharpness required to score goals to win a game whilst keeping it tight defensively. Thomas Tuchel on the touchline during Chelsea's 1-1 draw at Southampton Tuchel saw his side go behind for the first time in the seven games that he has been in charge as head coach when Southampton scored on the counter attack in the first half. A penalty in the second half from Mason Mount secured a point for Chelsea. Despite Chelsea conceding their first goal scored by an opposition player under Tuchel, the German was very content with the way that his team played at St Mary's apart from Chelsea's work in and around the penalty area. Tuchel regretfully said 'we created opportunities which in the end were not opportunities'.  'We opened up a lot of space for our

Thomas Tuchel Analyses the win over Burnley and heaps praise on Marcos Alonso Thomas Tuchel watched his Chelsea side dominate Burnley and in contrast to the midweek fixture against Wolves he saw goals to accompany the overall performance ensuring he celebrated his first victory as Chelsea boss afterwards.  The damage was done to the Clarets from Spaniards Cesar Azpiliqueta and Marcos Alonso, with Alonso's inclusion and finish being the major post-match talking points. Speaking on his early Chelsea selections and the display of Timo Werner but first he analysed the overall effort of his players.  'It was the complete performance both in attach and in defence.' he said. Tuchel will hope to bring the best out of Timo Werner  Amongst the things on Thomas Tuchel's to-do list is to get Timo Werner finding form and firing again in a Chelsea Shirt.  Werner signed for Chelsea in the summer and begun his Blue's career impressively scoring eight goals in his first thirteen appearances. Since then however, he has scored only once in 16 games, the most recent being a penalty miss against Luton in the Fa cup fourth round. Having seen and faced Werner during his managerial spells in Germany, Tuchel is fully aware of his fellow compatriots ability, as well as his ability to play in his role and hopes to help Werner showcase it. On Werner's body language Tuchel explained 'At the moment he has a closed face as there is a huge weight on his shoulders.'  'He does care a lot, this is reflected in his character. Sometimes being a striker it could help that you care a lot; sometimes you would thing it's better to not care at all, but he is not

Match Preview   Life without Frank Lampard on the dugout begins for Chelsea who host Wolves in the premier league at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The last meeting between these two sides resulted in a 2-1 victory for Wolves back in December which begun a wretched run of form for Chelsea which resulted in Lampard being relieved of his duties on Monday Morning. The hot seat at Stamford Bridge as claimed yet another victim during the era of ruthless owner Roman Abramovich, not even Lampard's status as a cult hero and a legend could prevent him from being sacked after a dismal run of results.  Chelsea are a club never far away from controversy when the short tenures of their managers come to an end. Tuchel has a massive mountain to climb with Chelsea - and there's lots that need addressing  Thomas Tuchel is set to take over at Chelsea following the sacking of Frank Lampard  It's not often for a manager to win 3-1 and then to lose his job - but then again this is Chelsea. It echoes memories of Maurizio Sarri's sacking after a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League final before leaving to manager Juventus. Antonio Conte winning the premier league and the fa cup before getting the sack.  There has been no sentiment spared for Lampard who had hoped he would have been in a job for a little bit longer. In walks Thomas Tuchel , fresh from his stint at Paris-St-Germain for whom he secured two league titles, reached the final of the champions league and if rumours are true fell out with his bosses after achieving the same feat with Borussia Dortmund.  This may be rather interesting and not just for the drama behind the scenes. Chelsea are very well stocked as a team across t
