Xabi Alonso's thoughts on Cole Palmer and Marco Palestra

New Blue's boss Xabi Alonso believes that Cole Palmer is a special player and is backing Chelsea's No 10 to find his best form under his Tutelage Xabi Alonso unveiled as Chelsea's new manager  Xabi Alonso was unveiled as to the worlds media as Chelsea's new manager for the first time with the Spaniard taking the opportunity to praise the 24 year old talisman Cole Palmer pointing to his amazing quality, which Alonso has said has been on show even in the first few training sessions that the pair have had together.  In a season which was disrupted through injury Palmer showed signs of being at his best at times , with his most noticeable moment being his brilliant hattrick against Wolves with him becoming the first player  in premier league history to score hattricks on three separate occasions.  Alonso is aware of his tasks will be to bring out the best in Palmer,  When asked about Palmer Alonso responded by saying "I have seen quite a bit of him in the few traini...

Reece James accepts that this current season for the Blues has been below standards and expectations  Chelsea skipper Reece James accepts that the 2025/26 premier league campaign has been disappointment and underwhelming for the Blues and insists that there is room for improvement and lots to learn  next season under new manager Xabi Alonso.  A painful 2-1 away defeat to Sunderland on the last day of the season resulted in Chelsea finishing 10th in the premier league resulting in the Blues missing out on European football next season.  "We need to digest and process this season" said the 26 year old. Chelsea reveal April's player of the month

Dutchman Jorrell Hato chosen by Chelsea fans as April's player of the month for 2026 receiving the award for the first time  The Blues defender has slowly grown in stature since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Ajax as he adapted to English football in his debut premier league campaign.  This also saw him named in the Blues starting line up for all three of  the Blues league fixtures in April, playing every minute in every competition, featuring at centre-back in the Blues games against Manchester City and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge before being deployed at left back for the Blues away game against Brighton and Hove Albion.  Hato was also involved for a full 90 minutes in the Blues 7-0  FA Cup quarter final win over Port Vale  with the Dutchman netting his second goal in a Blues shirt to open the scoring less than two minutes into the match. It's a return to Cobham for the Blues as they train with Saturday's FA cup quarter final against Port Vale on the horizon on Saturday  It was a busy session in the gym and the training base at Cobham as Chelsea's players continued their pre-match preparations ahead of Saturday's FA cup quarter final time against  league one outfit Port Vale on Saturday.  With many of the Blues players on international duty, it was a reduced squad however, there were many familiar faces which participated in the training session.  Among those who participated were Benoit Badiashile, Robert Sanchez, Liam Delap and Estevao Willian who were joined by Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana amongst others.

Ahead of Chelsea's round of leg second round tie at home to Paris Saint-Germain Blue's head coach Liam Rosenior provided an update on four of his players in his pre match press conference It's a big game for Chelsea as the Blues welcome Luis Enrique's PSG to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening as they look to overturn a 5-2 first leg defeat in the French capital. It was from Stamford Bridge where Rosenior was joined at the table at his pre match press conference by Joao Pedro as they spoke to the gathered media to preview the tie. Chelsea players return to Cobham ahead of Burnley

Chelsea's players returned back to Cobham today with focus quickly turning to Saturday's game at home to Burnley After the Blues secured their place in the fifth round of the FA cup with an away trip to North Wales to face Wrexham following their 4-0 away to Hull City in the fourth round on Friday evening, the players were granted some time to refresh and recharge ahead of Saturday's game.  Next up for the Blues is the visit of Burnley with Chelsea having beaten the Clarets 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Turf Moor with goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez. Blues boss Liam Rosenior has confirmed that Cole Palmer is in contention to feature in tomorrows champions league clash at Napoli and also outlined the plan for Romeo Lavia after the midfielders return to training The Blues final group league phase game takes place in Naples at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium tomorrow evening against Napoli, with the Blues looking to secure a victory which would ensure direct progression into the round of 16. Blues talisman Palmer was an absentee from the victories over Pafos and Crystal Palace as he suffered a thigh issue however has travelled to Naples with Rosenior outlining this in his pre match press conference that the England international could be set to feature against the Serie A side.  Another player included in the Blues travelling party is goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen an absentee from the Blues 3-1 win at Crystal Palace on Sunday.  Midfielder Romeo Lavia also hasn't made the trip to Naples however, was involved in the morn...
