Tuchel says two are doubtful for Tottenham plus offering support to Reece James

In his media press conference today ahead of Chelsea's trip to North London to face Tottenham tomorrow, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that two members of the squad would be be a doubt for the game.

Tuchel spoke to the press via a videolink, as is custom during these times, and was asked lots of questions about coming up against Jose Mourinho and Tottenham.

He also addressed the recent horrific racist abuse suffered on social media by Reece James, offering his support to the young right back plus providing an update on injuries ahead of Thursday's game.

Tuchel said 'we had two little issues on the pitch today.'

Both Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz went of the pitch today with little issues. A check is being carried out now, doing the images right now, so it's questionable whether both will be in the squad for tomorrow's game. Everyone else is available.

Tuchel stresses support for James after horrific racial abuse on social media

Reece James has the full backing and support of  Tuchel following being racially abused on social media

'We spoke about it as a team, and the club spoke about it with the team. My relationship with Reece is very close and he has a lot of support, for sure he has all of my support.'

Though we didn't speak about this case, you can totally be assured that I am 1000% on his side and by his side. I had a feeling it was probably a good distraction for him to be out on the pitch and let his football do the talking.

Tuchel will face former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho tomorrow in the premier league for the first time

On tomorrow's game Tuchel said 'I am extremely happy to be competing with a strong team such as Tottenham. I am happy to arrive tomorrow with our quality, mentality and the current atmosphere among the team we have right now. That's the most important thing.'

'Tottenham are a very competitive and strong team. Of course it will be a challenge. Is it a clash of cultures? I'm not too sure. Jose is a winner and I want to implement that mentality in my team. Both of us are at the highest level and we will do everything we can tomorrow to beat them in their own stadium.'
