Reece James says Chelsea are working under Tuchel and says Timo's time is coming

One the players who was involved in Chelsea 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Sheffield United the last time the two teams met at Bramall Lane in the league is Reece James who was not taking anything for granted when Chelsea faced Sheffield United on a cold Sunday evening in South Yorkshire. This time however, Chelsea returned back to London with the desired result and three points to move up to fifth in the premier league table.

In the wake of Sunday's victory James spoke about the reaction from the team towards conceding an equaliser in the second half, about the influence of Timo Werner as well as Jorginho's penalty, which proved to be the second winning penalty in the space of four days.  His penalty run-up was that of his previous technique as supposed to the penalty taken against Tottenham, which having missed three penalties earlier this season was taken in a more different and conventional style.

On Jorginho's penalty James said  'He works really hard and practices a lot and this is showing clearly in games before he moved onto talking about the impact of Timo Werner in the game.

'Timo's time is coming. He is working extremely hard and was involved in both our goals so it is not like he isn't contributing. Two contributions from him helped us get the win.

'In football you often see mistakes and strange things happen but we reacted well to Sheffield United's equaliser and managed to win a penalty.

'We knew that it would be a tough game coming to Sheffield United. Last year they were a strong team and we knew that we had to put a 100 percent effort in if we wanted to win the game.'

James concluded by summing up a few words on head coach Thomas Tuchel.

'From the very first minute he came in he made his style of play very evident and clear and I think we as a team have taken that on board extremely well and you can see that we are playing better as a team as well.'
