Leicester 2-0 Chelsea Match Review

And that Ladies and gentlemen is all she wrote. Another dreadful, woeful, shambolic, rubbish and pathetic performance from Chelsea Football Club as we slip to a 2-0 defeat away at the King Power Stadium to slip to 9th in the premier league table. everything that could have got worse did get worse we were nowhere in the first half we allowed Leicester's players too much time on the ball there was no marking for both of Leicester's goals. we were slow out of the blocks in that first half Leicester were all over us and could and probably should have scored more in the first half. In the second half it was a case of damage limitations but we still didn't do enough when we had the ball and Leicester kept counter attacking us. Leicester had already secured the game so didn't have to do much and were under little pressure and played in 2nd gear and thoroughly deserved their win.

For Chelsea on the other hand thought its back to the drawing board. What's happened has Frank Lampard lost the dressing room have the players stopped playing and trying for him? Not long ago we were top of the table since then it has been a fall from grace. 2 wins in our last 7 games does not make for pretty reading. If I am Roman Abramovich do I keep Lampard on or do I pull the plug and sack him so that our season can be saved? Could a more experienced manager get a better tune out of the likes of Havertz and Werner? Deep down I'm pretty sure that Lampard will be well aware of the reality of the situation which faces him. Something he can look forward to is that Chelsea are not too far of the champions league places and spending £200 million in the summer transfer window may buy him more time however, performances such as this will not help and will only turn the heat on the Chelsea manager.

Here are my player ratings for today's game

Mendy - 5

James - 3

Rudiger - 4

Chilwell - 3

Thiago Silva - 4

Havertz - 2

Kovacic - 4

Mount - 5

Pulisic - 4

Ziyech - 4

Hudson-Odoi - 3

Abraham - 3

Werner - 4

It's simply not good enough and as much as I love and adore Lampard as a player it is quite clear that he lacks experience to carry this team forward. The question is who is available in the UK to take this job in the wake of the Coronavirus Pandemic?

Guys let me know who you want Chelsea's next manager to be?
