Chelsea team line up vs Burnley

Tuchel makes four changes for Burnley including a 50th league   start for Mason Mount

Chelsea's starting line-up to face Burnley at Stamford Bridge

For todays game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge, Thomas Tuchel makes four changes which include a 50th league start for Mason Mount as well as a first appearance since September for Marcos Alonso.

Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham also come back into the side  from the midweek draw with Wolves as head coach Tuchel looks for his first win as Chelsea boss. Those to drop out are Olivier Giroud, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.

However it remains to be seen whether Tammy Abraham will be joined up front by Timo Werner in a 3-5-2 formation the back three though remains unchanged with Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger joining Cesar Azpiliqueta in front of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Both Jorginho and Matteo Kovacic form the midfield, with Callum Hudson-Odoi also starting in what is expected to be in the wing-back position once again.

Upon explaining his selection Tuchel stated : ' Marcos has not played a lot this season however, this is his key position, it is his best position. Secondly I opted for him because of how string he is aerially. We require that strength in the air particularly for set-pieces, also defensively, as there will be lots of long balls which will need to be defended and many aerial duels to be won, so for this I have given Marcos his chance.'

On the absence of Hakim Ziyech, Tuchel added: 'Hakim has been in a bit of overload for about five weeks so there is a risk of him getting injured if he plays for more than 30 minutes. It is for that reason we have decided to allow him to have a break so to get him out of the risk zone we discussed this yesterday.'

For todays opponents Burnley they make two changes from a 3-2 victory against Aston Villa with returns for former Chelsea player Jack Cork and Matej Vydra.

My prediction is a 2-1 win for Chelsea
